Beautiful Mt. Shasta is crowned with snow this time of year. It is exciting to watch a storm approach. Legend has it that those ventricular clouds that develop near the mountain as a storm approaches are really space ships delivering Lemurians to their home deep inside the jeweled corridors of Mt. Shasta. Lemurians were thought to be highly intelligent people that were from the lost continent of Lemuria, which was believed to have submerged, and folklore gave rumor that it was located in much of the Pacific Ocean. Many books have been published on the subject of Lemurians and many more Mount Shasta legends.
As I write this, the weather report has issued a storm warning with a prediction of several feet of snow in the next few days. I look out the window at our view of Mt. Shasta gleaming in the sun and sure enough there is what looks like a space ship hovering at the top of the 14,162 ft peak. It is an awesome sight and you know it is really fun to imagine that Lemurians are getting off and entering the beautiful jeweled city that resides inside of Mt. Shasta. I also feel so blessed to live in an area that has the four seasons. With the change of each season the sun’s rays give the mountain a different appearance and seems to beckon one to explore it’s wonder whether it be skiing, hiking or just looking for wildflowers on the lower slopes.

Wow that is so amazing! Do you believe in UFOs? Love to hear your thoughts on some of the legends about Mt. Shasta. Has Bigfoot ever been sighted there? I am thinking of visiting but I am afraid.
I really enjoyed your post on Mt. Shasta. I am very interested in folklore. I have never heard of Mt. Shasta because I am from the midwest. But I would love to visit your area. It sounds wonderful.
I have heard that Bigfoot wanders around there. Is it on Mt. Shasta or elsewhere?
